Rehabilitation using Corrective Exercise Training
Corrective exercise is used for individuals who have muscle imbalances, or those who are recovering from an injury.
Today, more people are working in offices, have longer working hours, use technology and move less on a daily basis. This environment contributes greatly to muscle imbalances, resulting in poor posture, back-ache or injury, shoulder impingement and neck tightness.
Does this remind you of your posture? Do you suffer from:
- Neck tightness?
- Back ache?
- Shoulder pain?
- Hip pain?
- We can even add height – stooping reduces your height, but standing up straight adds extra inches, making you feel and look slimmer.
The culprit for all of the issues above is a combination of over-tight muscles, weak muscles and a neural system which assesses and works with your body in an alien posture – just holding your head high will definitely feel strange, but lengthening, stretching and strengthening the right muscles can correct your posture.
Flat feet are often another issue which cause joint injuries, usually of the lower limbs.
Is this you? Do you suffer from:
- Knee pain?
- Hip pain?
- Lower back pain?
- Ankle, calf or pain at the front of your leg?
The good news is you don’t have to put up with poor posture, frequent injuries, joint misalignment and movement dysfunction. We provide an excellent assessment process and corrective exercise programmes to overcome most movement dysfunctions.
All of our practitioners are qualified with The National Academy of Sports Medicine as corrective exercise specialists.
Through a progressive process, our corrective exercise specialists prescribe a programme to readdress the neuromuscular balance and integrate the correct movement pattern.
