The secret to eating well is to plan your meals; if you are not sure what you are going to eat, then the temptation is to wade through lots of easy grab food. This type of food tends to be high in calories and low in nutritional value.

Try working with these three simple rules:

  • Spend an hour or so thinking about your meals for the week.
  • Make a shopping list and go to the shop for your ingredients – or better still order on line so you only get the food you need and are not tempted by junk food.
  • Decide which meals you are having on any given day.
