New Year, New You!

29th January 2018

– Let us take care of your wellbeing

January is typically the toughest month of the year, with much of the population giving up something and striving for better health.

February/March however, are the months where old habits return, with memories of just how hellish January was. The way you think is the way you behave, so think positively and introduce a plan that accommodates your lifestyle — it doesn’t need to be an all-or-nothing approach.

At Active Aims, we understand that wellbeing is a combination of both physical and mental health; the mind and body are intrinsically linked, and reaching your goals and targets might mean that you need to access not only your physical health but also your mindset.

Firstly, think carefully about what you would like to achieve. Fast-forward to the summer months: how would you like to feel, how would you like your life to look, how do you perceive your image? Take a good look and then ask “How do I get there?”.

You may need an exercise programme and some support to get rid of the excess Christmas pounds; you may need to manage stress and be in a better head-space; you might be anxious and need to gain perspective or change the way you view things; your confidence might have taken a battering and left you unsure of yourself and the others around you.

  • If you are in the right place to start a new, physical you, then we provide free consultations to assess your current physical health, fitness and muscle balance.
  • If you don’t have the time or means to visit us in person, we offer a range of telephone, email and online Personal Training programmes – giving you the flexibility to exercise in a location of your choice, or with a friend.
  • If you are unsure of how to find the New You, we provide a free coaching & counselling consultation. Depending on your mindset, one of these approaches may help you to become more in control, reduce anxiety, manage stress, become confident and generally have the best chance of having a great 2018. You may have suffered a relationship breakdown or a bereavement – we specialise in counselling to help you come to terms with change and loss.
